#OOTD Social Circuit Breaker

4

Like every old-school organization freak, I keep a day planner. And while I tend to get caught up in a whirlwind and take each day as it whizzes by, looking back as I flip through it’s dog-eared pages, I’d say September has been a very fulfilling month.

Between Fashion’s Night Out, the Le Monde D’Hermes A/W issue launch, The Juice high tea, A/W collection launches, a friend’s art exhibit, back to back shoots, wedding dress fittings, submitting my visa application and attending a Coachella themed party, it’s safe to say that the month that was, was heavy on me. While I’ve tried in vain to make time for friends and family, I’ve sometimes had to team tasks like getting my nails done or trying out a new spa, bar or restaurant with meeting friends who I haven’t seen in a while.

Judging by the endless stream of emails that keep pouring in, October has no plans of slowing down either. I, however, have decided to spend my last couple of months in the city enjoying the people closest to me and devoting time to getting my personal life on track, instead of solely focusing on work.

Luckily, my friends at Stylista, an online store selling designer clothing at high street prices, sent over a few delicious pieces from their Stylista Original line for the three biggest events in my social calendar this October.

Venue Hunting

Finding the perfect venue for an engagement party that just happens to be a mere month from now is daunting to say the least. But when you throw in a small guest list and a strong bias towards a Black Tie theme and old Victorian architecture, it can be next to impossible.

.

Luckily this light and breezy ‘Garden State’ dress helps me keep my cool and stay positive whilst shuffling between venues and meeting with party planners.

 Mom’s Birthday Lunch

It breaks my heart to say this, but since I’m moving away soon, this might be the last birthday my mum and I spend together in a while, so I refuse to hold back with the celebrations. We’ve reserved a table at her favourite restaurant, ordered her favourite cake, invited all of her best friends and have some great tricks up our colourful sleeves by way of gifts.

.

Which is why, dressing to impress her and all her guests is another great way of commemorating this special day. This hot and happy ‘Flip Side’ jacket reflects the birthday girl’s eternal optimism and love of bright colours perfectly. Oh, and since it happens to be reversible, it moonlights as a monochrome printed jacket, so just in case the party runs late into the evening, I’ve got it covered!

 Anniversary Date with James

My fiance and I are going to reach our one year mark this month, and if all goes according to plan, he should be able to visit me on our big day. If not, a romantic candlelit dinner over Skype, some champagne and long-distance presents will have to suffice! :)

.

Either way, a smattering of gold sequins by way of this gorgeous In A Heartbeat top is playful, dressy and fits our festive state of mind like a glove!

Oh My God! This one is something different..
    Its makes me feel inspired..
Though from a small town, I really dream to be in the world of fashion since I was a child.
As a grew teen I understood what real fashion world means,
How should you stay updated every second,
And how you have to struggle to stay in the industry.
But that doesn’t affect my zest to do something different in the world of fashion.
I would still try to come up.
Thank you so much for your inspiration Anushka.
