#OOTD Elevate Your Errand Outfit

2

One of my favourite things to do when I have a busy day of mundane errands ahead of me but I’d rather be home watching Pretty Little Liars in my pajamas is to elevate my mood by upping the ante on a casual outfit.

.

If, like most of us, you’d be out running errands in good old jeans or leggings and a t-shirt, you could put your own style-savvy spin on lazy-girl casuals without compromising on comfort. Just try this simple formula:

(1) Swap your t-shirt with a maxi top. Think about it, it’s just like your trusty old t-shirt, only longer, comfier, roomier and about 100 times more on-trend.

.

(2) Trade in your jeans or your basic black leggings for a pair that has an interesting detail. I love the cool, rocker vibe these shredded leggings / jeggings lend to an everyday look.

.

(3) Upgrade your basic ballet flats to a pair of fashion-forward yet functional pointy-toe flats, lace-up flats, edgy sneakers, preppy brogues or tasseled loafers.

.

(4) Throw on an additional layer – a blazer or a leather / denim jacket are always welcome. However, if you really want to score style points, make the sleeveless jacket your BFF.

.

(5) Don’t forget about the little details that help top off your look – a great bag to tote things around in, a watch to help manage your time better and a little pop of bling here or there for a little pick-me-up sparkle.

It always has been a pair of jeans (hanging on my hanger, worn the previous day) and a t-shirt (preferably black) that I pick up from my wardrobe. Also, instead of a smaller bag, I opt for a big one where I could put my sunglasses, water bottle, documents and stuff. A pair of ballerinas come in handy while I leave my hair just the way it is (I have a short bob) and dash a line of kohl and some powder. I don’t even opt for my usual CC cream cause hey I am out for work, not to see someone (ignoring the fact that I could totally bump into someone I know/have been avoiding lol).

So that’s my go-to errand running outfit :)
Loved yours, except that those shoes don’t really look comfy :D
